Jamestown College offering new course on Chinese language, culture

Jamestown College will offer a Chinese Language and Culture course taught by two visiting Chinese professors beginning Monday, Sept. 12. Community members are welcome to take the class, which will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Monday evenings from Sept. 12 to Dec. 5.

Professors Guo Li and Li Xiaoqing are visiting Jamestown College from Huizhou University, Guangdong Province, China. They will teach a similar course at 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

“We are excited about this wonderful opportunity to learn from these highly qualified teachers, and we look forward to more partnerships like this in the future,” says Dr. Gary Watts, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The class may be taken for college credit (continuing education tuition applies) or as a non-credit audit for $150.
